Italy is blocked by the strike of transport services and TIRs. That means no petrol in most cities, no fruit in the supermarkets, people that can't go to work and industries blocked. AND my income certificate that cost me a lot of money to be sent by the fastes courier from Hungary, blocked at some part. That, again, means a 100€ penalty if it doesn't arrive by Friday. I would have SO preferred buying some Christmas presents with that money!! (anyways, I don't know what to give to P. he's a lot more luckier: I love too many girly things like bags and jewels) Plus I guess he has already bought a diamond nosering I loved at Elvido's shop because when I told him I need a new one , he told me to be patient and wait. (most probably it's not a half carat De Beers (rather a 0.01 carat one, but diamonds are still girl's best ) I would have always loved a diamond nose stud, it is so kitsch, no? And so I bought P a pair of briefs with a diamond stamped on it ;)
Monday I went to see and Indian romantic movie at the Florence Indian film festival, it was just soooooooo beautiful! lasted two hours and a half, full of sticky declarations of love and people saying 'I love you' before they die in their beloved one's arms. Naturally, the European public (me included) is way too cynical to really appreciate it, and everyone always laughed when something of the kind happened. Or when the modern songs played. It was a very modern story, so songs were not sang by the actual characters, but by an emo rock trio walking around the city with gloomy looks.
And at the end, when lovers found each other, or parted, all the audience applauded o wooed! It was started by the Indians in the hall, but very soon everyone joined in. I had so much fun! And as an Indian restaurant form Fiesole had set up a small franchising in the cinema's restaurant, I had some samosas and a lot of sweets with chai. (tummy problems until late at night, but still worth it!)
have a look!

I am just happy I didn't take her to the Biennale. I went with P and it s*cked. It was not an exhibition, but a fair, for selling pictures!!!!!And still you had to pay a higher entrance fee than to the Venice Biennale, could you pelase explain?
